    To include environmental protection would be a strong symbol, and a way to advance laws in this direction. It would promote concrete actions. 
Placed as a fundamental principle, it supplants all others in the field of economics and places the protection of the environment above individual liberties to undertake for example.
It provides a legal basis for passing other laws and it would be possible to oppose any law that is contrary to the protection of the environment before the Constitutional Council. An important point for lawmakers who would not propose laws that disagree with this first article.
Then, It will therefore be easier to defend the principle of environmental protection by referring to the Constitution. And, the goal is to compel the state on this theme of the environment.

    I agree. There is much about environmental protection later in the constitution, but I think it should be a foundational principle. Can you suggest wording?
