Towards a Written Constitution for a Scottish Secular Republic – Videos

Spread the love

In early 2018, Independence Live produced a series of five short videos from Dr Mark McNaught on the refinement of a prototype Scottish Constitution he developed prior to the 2014 referendum. This was the basis for the framework Clyde-Built Scottish Constitution and Corpus of Scottish Law that all Scots are invited to participate in.

    1. Thank you Hugh.

We do try and cater for all of Scotland with what we produce, and there is WRITTEN text of Dr McNaught’s Speech from the Launch Event in December last year here -> http://scottishconstitution.com/2018/12/02/speech-of-dr-mark-mcnaught-launch-of-a-clyde-built-constitution-for-the-scottish-state/

Hope this helps, and we look forward to your involvement with Scrutinising the Constitutional Framework herein.

      Best regards,

      Admin

    2. Hello Hugh,

Thank you for your comment. Further to SC_Admin’s response, there are also several articles on constitutional issues written by Dr McNaught prior to the 2014 Referendum. These were originally published on Newsnet.scot.

Dr McNaught’s been working on this project since 2012, so although some of the content in the articles has been developed further since they were written, they provide a good introduction to many of the fundamental principles that inform its current state.

I hope you will find them useful, and please do check out the draft Constitution of the Scottish State. Your thoughts and input on would be valued.
